These inventive tales run the gamut from historical to science fiction and fantasy. They are unique in that each considers what it might take to make one person turn to virtue and another to downright devil try.  In J Tullos Hennig’s The Horse Boy, the two main characters may seem to be quite average for a cruising, but the fact is that neither is what you think they are. Though one of them knows the unique nature of the other, that knowledge is only his. As a transgender writer, I am left after this story thinking and rethinking the significance of what I learned.
