Review written by Christopher Hawthorne Moss

Charlie Cochet is a prolific writer who adds a great deal of charm to any book she writes, especially her historicals. This novel takes place sometime after World War I and involves a gay club.  Edward has been in Europe recovering from the ill effects of the trenches, and it being his birthday, the cousin takes him to the fabulous Pantheon. It is a gay club, and there he meets Eros, a dancer. Edward falls for Eros, whose real name is Julius, right away, but he discovers that one of the Eros’s clients who calls himself Ares is a mobster who doesn’t like to share. See how Ares tries to keep Edward and Julius apart, and just what clever ways Edward deals with him.
